A few of my snaps of the Street Style that London had to offer last year :D. **All my own photography**
Spotted outside the Topshop show space at London Fashion Week in September. Those trousers are SO good. I wonder if I could do that myself? Attack a pair of jeans with a stanley knife..? Paired with a casual, loose fitting black polo neck and a pair of white Nike blazers this look is a perfect example of sport luxe styling.
I loveee Sinead’s bright blue roots – created using Kiko Hair Shadow, great for a temporary change – and hides root growth at the same time, win. This would look great paired with some gel and glitter, as seen in my Glitter Hair Inspiration post.
Check out the spiky leather backpack she’s wearing here
Sneaky celebrity snap!! Leah McFall‘s grey hair & futuristic glasses are on point! The High neck top layered underneath the ‘NYC’ jumper is from Shade London – check them out! Overt branding – top to toe outfit from Nasir Mazhar check out my post on Nasir Mazhar’s use of diverse models for his 2013 catwalk show here.
Faux fur scarfs <3. Here’s a very similar one from ASOS – on sale too 😉
Super kawaii! The girl on the right’s shorts are from the Illustrated People x Phoebe (from Made in Chelsea) collab collection – All on Sale now! I hope they do another collab – I have the Eyeballin’ shorts seen here 😀
Looking at photos of people partying gives me the same tingly happy feeling you get when you hear -that-song-you-heard-the-other-night-when-everyone-was-going-mental. Good party photography will capture a moment of pure freedom from the daily grind; the let-your-hair-down joy that comes with clubbing. No worries; just music, and smiles, and dancing, and sitting at the back having heart felt conversations with someone you’ve only just met -what’s your name again?-
The Ibiza: Moments in Love exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts is a time portal into the island Ibiza once was:
The first thing that really strikes me about these photographs is the people’s style; care free and costume-like. I would love to rock up to a club with my tatas out and a bit of silver paint on the nips. And why shouldn’t I. (Pass the silver paint)
As well as these photographs the exhibition contains past artefacts; magazines, posters, signed tickets, mix tapes etc. I’m glad to say that I have a shoe box in my room that is absolutely full to the brim with my own collection of similar items. I keep everything. I’m going to have to get a bigger box soon.
All photos above were taken by me at the Ibiza: Moments in Love Exhibition. It’s on until the 2nd of Feb so if you’re in London go down and check it out http://www.ica.org.uk/whats-on/ibiza-moments-love. The photographs featured are a set of previously unpublished pictures by the British photographer Derek Ridgers taken at Ku in 1984.
Primark have released their Spring/Summer 2014 collection- and it looks sweeeet well done lads. Up the cheap and cheerful.
Love the styling here as well – corn rows/braids are set to be a big hair trend this summer. Primark has undergone a complete image overhaul and I applaud them for it; they have continued to grow through the gloomy recession and altering their target market towards youth fashion will see them grow even more.
I would happily wear every one of the looks in the images above; which is a big step considering when I was younger I would’ve been embarrassed to be seen in Primark (and I wasn’t alone in that feeling). I’ll be popping in store this week to check out the goodies.
