Throw back Thursdays – Street Style Snaps from London
A few of my snaps of the Street Style that London had to offer last year :D. **All my own photography**
Spotted outside the Topshop show space at London Fashion Week in September. Those trousers are SO good. I wonder if I could do that myself? Attack a pair of jeans with a stanley knife..? Paired with a casual, loose fitting black polo neck and a pair of white Nike blazers this look is a perfect example of sport luxe styling.
I loveee Sinead’s bright blue roots – created using Kiko Hair Shadow, great for a temporary change – and hides root growth at the same time, win. This would look great paired with some gel and glitter, as seen in my Glitter Hair Inspiration post.
Check out the spiky leather backpack she’s wearing here
More amazing accessories – that hat is the one!
Some great back patches & conversational prints:
Sneaky celebrity snap!! Leah McFall‘s grey hair & futuristic glasses are on point! The High neck top layered underneath the ‘NYC’ jumper is from Shade London – check them out!
Overt branding – top to toe outfit from Nasir Mazhar check out my post on Nasir Mazhar’s use of diverse models for his 2013 catwalk show here.
Fwuffy wuffy lil rabbits tails!
Faux fur scarfs <3. Here’s a very similar one from ASOS – on sale too 😉
Super kawaii! The girl on the right’s shorts are from the Illustrated People x Phoebe (from Made in Chelsea) collab collection – All on Sale now! I hope they do another collab – I have the Eyeballin’ shorts seen here 😀
And finally – RAINBOW SEQUIN AMAZINGNESS. Perfect as it was outside the Ashish show – the KINGS of rainbow sequins (check out a video of their SS15 collection here)

Model Diversity at London Fashion week 2013
In uni at the minute we’re doing a project on Diversity in the fashion industry and I feel that it’s opening my eyes to new ideas of what fashion in the future could be. In the past 20 years we’ve seen the rise of the supermodel; ‘heroine chic’ and size zero, and more recently the use of plus size models on the catwalk.
At London Fashion Week this September Nasir Mazhar’s collection really caught my eye, not only for the designs/styling but the very diverse range of models. The catwalks are still predominantly Caucasian, tall, skinny girls so I found Mazhar’s model line up really refreshing.
The models look happy and confident, which I think should be promoted more in the industry: regardless of shape/race/age/class.
Vivienne Westwood Red Label AW13: Make Up
Vivienne Westwood’s models make up made them look like an abstract portrait of themselves. Or possibly a clown… However, although I wouldn’t wear this look out on a Friday night I do really like the idea of being more playful and experimental with makeup.

Floral Headresses @ Eudon Choi A/W13
It wasn’t the folksy clothing, but the extravagant floral head dresses that caught my eye in the Eudon Choi AW13 collection.
They’d brighten up any dreary Winters day for sure.

KTZ AW13
KTZ is another label I have only just been introduced to; run by Marjan Pejoski and Koji Maruyama. This seasons collection combines an Amish feel with crazy graphic print and typography; Amish on acid.
The collection also had a sort of gothic/pagan feel, the above outfit reminds me of Wicca symbols, runes etc.

Jena. Theo AW13
This season was the first I had heard of Jena. Theo; judging by their AW13 collection showcased on Friday I’m going to be a firm fan for seasons to come. The garments that struck a chord with me above incorporated oil-slick shine fabrics, a sporty silhouette and graphic monochrome print. Particularly love the two piece outfits (2) and (3) and the heavy side-parted hair.
